Trauma Sensitive Law was founded by a trauma survivor for trauma survivors. In addition to our professional training and consulting services, this private coaching service is open to any individual who has experienced deep hardship and is looking to move forward.
Trauma fundamentally alters our lives. It changes our circumstances, but it also changes the physiology of our brains, impacting how we connect to other people, how we perceive the world around us, and even how we attach to ourselves. After we experience trauma, there's simply no going back to exactly how things were before.
Coaching involves elements that may feel similar to traditional therapy, but it uses a distinctly "what's next?" approach. Instead of the more traditional therapeutic approach of identifying the source of pain and investigating it, trauma and resilience coaching prioritises staying emotionally grounded during trauma narration. Coaching seeks to identify (and build on) what you're already doing right. Instead of "And how does that make you feel?" we ask: "How did you manage to get out of bed this morning with all of that going on? Because the fact that you're still here means you're doing something right. Let's start there."
If traditional therapy doesn't feel like the right for choice for you, trauma and resilience coaching may be a good alternative method of trauma recovery and resilience development.
